St. Stephen’s Ministry of Augusta, Inc. held the Annual Red Ribbon Ball, Augusta’s premiere event in honor of World AIDS Day 2011. Held at the Marion Hatcher Center, this annual event benefits St. Stephen’s Ministry of Augusta, Inc. St. Stephen's is a local United Way Partner Agency, City of Augusta Department of Housing, and Community Development/HUD sponsored transitional housing facility. The goal of the Red Ribbon Ball, in addition to being the primary fundraiser for St. Stephen’s Ministry’s continual efforts to serve the needs of our clients, is to raise awareness in the local community about HIV/AIDS and reduce the social stigma often associated with the disease in social settings.

This year’s Red Ribbon Ball featured live music, catered dining, and a live charity raffle with multiple drawings throughout the night. Individuals who were not able to attend the event may make a tax-deductible contribution to support the mission and vision of St. Stephen’s by calling (706)722-7092 ext. 204.
